LUNAR in Cambridge Lesson: Spectacular Space Journey – Chandrayaan-3 by ISRO

Montessori Preschool, Delhi, 23rd August 2023.

Chandrayaan 3 , India’s lunar exploration program, has been a trailblazing endeavour launched by the Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO). Chandrayaan represents India’s dedication to unravelling the mysteries of the Moon and contributing to the global space community’s understanding of lunar geology, atmosphere, and resources.

The successful landing of Chandrayaan-3 is not only marked another historic achievement for India but is also unlock new avenues of scientific discovery and exploration, shaping the future of lunar research.

Chandrayaan-3 is a follow-on mission to Chandrayaan-2 to demonstrate end-to-end capability in safe landing and roving on the lunar surface. It consists of Lander and Rover configuration. It has been launched by LVM3 from SDSC SHAR, Sriharikota. The propulsion module carring the lander and rover configuration till 100 km lunar orbit. The propulsion module has Spectro-polarimetry of Habitable Planet Earth (SHAPE) payload to study the spectral and Polari metric measurements of Earth from the lunar orbit.

The mission objectives of Chandrayaan-3

  1. To demonstrate Safe and Soft Landing on Lunar Surface
  2. To demonstrate Rover roving on the moon and
  3. To conduct in-situ scientific experiments.

Chandrayaan-3 has been made more robust by improvements in Lander to handle more dispersion, improvements in sensors, software and propulsion systems, full level redundancies in addition to exhaustive simulations and additional tests being conducted towards ensuring a higher degree of ruggedness in the lander.

Chandrayaan-3 in comparison to Chandrayaan-2 has been designed with the capabilities to autonomously handle wide range of dispersion in order to achieve soft and safe landing.

On this occasion, Mr. Ranadeep,  the Chief Patron of Cambridge Montessori Preschool congratulates the whole Nation , our great scientists of ISRO and marked “The achievements of Chandrayaan missions exemplify India’s dedication to advancing the frontiers of human knowledge and exploration. The journey of discovery continues with upcoming landing of Chandrayaan- 3 which is unlock the mysteries of the cosmos and pave the way for future generations to reach for the stars.”

To encourage the young minds of India and becoming the witness of this unforgettable achievement Cambridge Montessori Preschool has decided to buy 10 Acre of Land on lunar surface form The Lunar Registry

The live broadcast of Chandrayaan-3’s landing has been broadcasted in all campuses of Cambridge Montessori Preschool, PAN India And one module of their KSRC ( Kids Space Research Cell) curriculum will be specially designed with this glorious event from next.

Along with that  Mr.Vamshi and Mrs Sravani ,headed our Warangal  Cambridge Montessori Preschool Campus and Mr. Ananda Devraj , the campus Director of Bangaluru, Mrs. Kanchan ,Director of Cambridge Montessori Preschool Pune planning to visit The ISRO campus and  honor our great scientists there.

Cambridge Montessori Preschool specially thankful to those hundreds of ISRO scientists who  have worked behind the scene to make the moon landing possible and in turn, make India the first country to land a spacecraft on the lunar south pole.
